There is a fun article in the NYT on Green Building techniques. And what was the main comment from the designer/builders?
'“Energy consumption — that’s the big kahuna,” Mr. Suter said. His mantra, and that of just about every other professional involved with building green, is to “get your loads down” first — that is, cut the waste in your energy consumption. Then decide what you really need.'
Sure sounds a lot like what were trying to do for the design of the Natural Fusion home (Solar Decathlon 2009 at Penn State). Any thoughts?
